ABOUT EMILY CARLISLE
My Performance Journey
I was born and raised in Nashville, TN where I grew up in a musical household. I began taking dance lessons when I was four years old for five years at Dance Play Studio until I moved to Pennsylvania, where I began talking acting classes at Gamut Theatre. Throughout middle school I continued to focus on my acting and singing, joining many chorus groups and participating in many plays . When I got to high school, I got accepted into Susquehanna Township's School of Performing arts (SOPA). During those times I was in many school musicals including "West Side Story" and "Ragtime", and plays such as "Arsenic and Old Lace" and "Clue". In 2018, I went to AMDA's high school summer program, where I did my college audition and got an early acceptance. In my senior year of high school, I became the Musical Club secretary and assisted our SOPA teacher with things such as making posters, tickets, and casting. I also won two awards in high school; "Excellence in the Performing Arts" and "Most Contributing Senior Vocalist". Once I graduated in May 2019, I began attending The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in the summer and currently plan on graduated in June 2021. I currently reside in New York, NY.
